Current dev of GenoRing has been tested successfully on Mac and Windows platforms. However, to solve some problems related to file systems, the container file system is not exposed on local file system. Therefore, if you want to modify manually config files, you will need to either do it inside a container (using ./genoring.pl shell [service-name]) or using the new volume export and import feature which works with archives (to list volumes: ./genoring.pl volumes, to export: ./genoring.pl exportvol [volume], to import ./genoring.pl importvol [volume] [archive_file]). Indeed, the problems come form Docker Desktop. On Windows platforms, mounting Windows file system is incredibly slow when there are a lot of files, and on Mac platforms, the problem comes from file permissions management as Docker Desktop is itself running into a virtual machine, and exposed file permssions is managed differently than on Windows or Linux.
Beside Windows and Mac compatibility, many other new features have been added and a new alpha or beta should be released soon.
